Grand Junction— Officials at MarillacHealth were notified the organization has earned four prestigious quality designations. The nation’s Health Resources & Services Administration announced various quality improvement awards in the areas of Access, Quality, Health Equity and Health Information Technology, with Marillac achieving improvement in four areas.
- Marillac’s Access Advancer award recognized the organization’s growth – expanding its patient population from 9,800 patients in 2022 to 13,512 patients in 2023
- Health Disparities Reducer award gives a nod to Marillac’s progress in health outcomes in at least two areas for one or more racial or ethnic groups
- Advancing Health IT award recognized Marillac for its progress in utilizing technology in its delivery of healthcare
- Addressing Social Risk Factors was awarded for ongoing work in gathering social risk information from patients to help support optimal health outcomes
Marillac serves low-to-middle income families and is known for making healthcare affordable as it offers sliding fee discounts for qualifying patients. While most patients reside in Mesa County, about 20% of patients reside in the Montrose/Delta area, where they are served through PIC Place, Marillac’s newest clinic.
