Community Campaign to Raise $100K in 100 Days

Grand Junction— As construction of Mesa County’s new Community Health Center makes progress, members of the community are being urged to contribute. MarillacHealth just launched a public campaign to raise $100,000 in 100 Days.

Officials from Marillac announced the 100-day public campaign due to high interest in the new health center, which is visible at 526 29 ½ Road next to the Mesa County Workforce Center. The center was designed by Chamberlin Architects. Construction is being managed by FCI Constructors. When it opens in late summer, the 27,000 square foot health center will become Marillac’s main service site and its center of operations in western Colorado. The center will offer medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy services. By raising $100K in 100 Days, the campaign will boost the total amount of money secured so far to just under 15 million dollars — all of which is earmarked for the new clinic.

According to Dan Prinster, Board Chairperson, the need for the new health center is extraordinary. “The populations that reside in Clifton and Fruitvale do not have immediate access to healthcare,” he explained. “The new health center will welcome and serve thousands more people in the future.”

Anyone can make a donation—including Marillac patients, Marillac employees, local churches, businesses, clubs and individuals who want to support access to healthcare for all persons. Making a donation takes only two minutes. To contribute to the $100K IN 100 DAYS campaign, visit Marillac’s website, at MarillacHealth.org.
